Kangaroo Island Olives are a multi-award winning producer of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Table Olives. Here you’ll find information about us, our products and of course the island. We grow our produce using sunshine and rainfall. Nature does all the work.
KI produces food as it was meant to taste. Its reputation for purity and quality is spreading thanks to a passionate group of locals who source, grow and make food – always with an eye for quality and sustainability.
The island size and distance from mainland Australia lead some to say ‘you must be mad to be a commercial food producer here!’ But these very challenges also provide the greatest opportunities. The remoteness has always demanded a self-sufficient lifestyle – mixed farms include cattle, sheep and grain while orchards, vineyards and market gardens, supplemented by fish from the bountiful sea meant we always ate well.
This legacy of ingenuity plus the regions relative seclusion from the Australia mainland has influenced island producers to deliver quality, flavour and purity. Our emphasis on ethical food production is an extension of our respect for the natural world.
